Our Story

From Las Vegas to
Pendleton — 20 Years

The Pendleton Round-Up Tough Enough To Wear Pink (TETWP) campaign in Pendleton, Oregon celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026.

2005 · Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Las Vegas
Breast cancer survivor Terry Wheatley and Karl Stressman, Director of Special Events for Wrangler, launch TETWP at the NFR. All but two contestants wear pink. A national movement is born inside the Thomas & Mack Arena.
2006 · Pendleton Round-Up joins the campaign
The Pendleton Round-Up designates Thursday of Round-Up week as TETWP Day — becoming one of the first PRCA rodeos in the nation to bring the campaign to its own community.
2012 · $30,318 — early momentum
The campaign proves its legs with one of its strongest early years, establishing TETWP as a cornerstone of Round-Up week.
2015 · $39,604 — a landmark year
Fueled by deep community sponsorship, TETWP Pendleton sets what was then its highest fundraising total — a record that would stand for nearly a decade.
2023 · $40,000 — a new benchmark
The campaign finally eclipses the 2015 record, signaling a new era of growth driven by expanded sponsorships and community engagement.
2024 · $51,000 — all-time record
A 27% jump over 2023. Three Eastern Oregon organizations receive life-changing funds. Pendleton proves what's possible when a community rallies together.
2026 · 20th Anniversary · September 17
With over half a million dollars raised since 2006, the 20th anniversary is Pendleton's moment to go bigger than ever. The biggest raffle yet and a grandstand full of pink on September 17.
